Marco
Mucciarelli was born in the province of
Siena, in the heart of Tuscany on January the 30th 1962 and since
little, his life is been involved in the wine and olive oil production.
From 3 years old, all his free time was spent at home of his grand
parents and uncles, a nice farm at about one kilometre from his
house.
The life in that farm was exactly the same like 500 years before:
no tractors, no rush, unforgettable smells, cows, pigs, chickens,
ducks, gooses, turkeys, guinea fowls, cats and dogs every ware.
Fresh milk, wander fool bread, grate vegetables and meets.
Fantastic impressions during big events like the wheat, grapes and
olive harvests, the production of flour, wine and olive oils, but
also the ceremony of butchering the pork meets in winter.
The perpetual fire warmness in the kitchen, the embers were used
also in summer to cook. The beautiful eyes of his grandmother that
at about 4 p.m. prepared for him, his sister and cousins a greedy
slice of bread with sugar and red wine on top in winter, and spread
tomatoes with olive oil, salt and few drops of vinegar in summer.
Also the grandfather used to take care of Marco, offering him a
big glass of water wit few drops of red wine when "la massaia" (this
is the name the farmers used to call the woman that cooked for every
body, in this case, my grandmother)was looking in another side.
After his study on electronics he started to work for companies
that settled industrial electronics machineries, but his hart was
daily remembering him the smells and the atmospheres of the country
side and his product.
For many years Marco and his father rented a vineyard and produced
wine for them self and few friends.
In the '80s Marco Mucciarelli encountered Italo Zingarelli a famous
italian movies producer owning a winery in Tuscany, a phenomenal
person that convinced Marco to get beak in to the country because
his grate love for wine, olive oil and traditional food. Marco changed
completely his life, following his hart he started to participate
to courses and classes on wine and olive oil, but his real experience
was created because his passion on working with those products.
Marco in fact worked for important wineries were he developed incredibly
the methods of hosting clients coming from all over the World to
know the realty of the productions, in the '90s were more than 2000
the owners of restaurants, wine shops, journalists, wine makers
that every year visited the wineries with Marco doing a real experience
instead of a simple tour of a wine cellar. The most of those people
were so imprested that wanted Marco to guide them through the all
Chianti area.
In 1996 Marco started to organise Educational on wine and olive
oil, also for people maybe not directly involved in the wine business
but very interested on knowing more about those fantastic products.
Marco also visited several different countries to see and taste
directly the different productions, increasing his knowledge and
his passion. In April 2000 Marco started to work on his side, managing
programs for wine and food lovers coming from all over the world
in to Tuscany and especially in the Chianti area were Marco lives
with his wife Christina and his two children Viktoria and Francesco.
Been Tuscan and with a such a grate knowledge on wine and olive
oil, Marco Mucciarelli became a real testimonial of his territory
so much that today he is know as the Tuscan Wine and Food Ambassador
doing what he loves to do:
"When I am working, I do my best to bring people us close us possible
to the story and the actuality of my territory and his beautiful
inhabitants and products".
