Taste old Tuscan Wines sipping through the history
With wines from the famous Bruni-Scarselli collection

This
program lasts about three hours and is a unique event each time.
It includes:
- a detailed presentation about the history of wine through various
civilizations up to the present
- an introduction to the methods for tasting, serving, selecting,
and maintaining wine
- a tasting of the five most important wines of Tuscany: Vernaccia
di San Gimignano D.o.c.g., Nobile di Montepulciano D.o.c.g., Chianti
Classico Riserva D.o.c.g., “Super Tuscan” I.g.t, and
one wine from the biggest and most important collection of Chianti
Classico in the world, the Bruni- Scarselli collection, composed
of 17.000 bottles with vintages from 1800 until today
The event takes place in the “Palazzo Squarcialupi”,
one of the oldest medieval palaces in Castellina in Chianti and
location of “Enoteca Antiquaria”.
This
absolutely unique program was created tanks to the extraordinary
love and passion of Gianfranco Bruni and Roberto Scarselli, two
collectors that from over forty years are researching and cataloguing
over 40.000 bottles of wine, 17.000 of witch are totally from the
Chianti Classico area of production, one of the very best in Italy.
The Bruni -
Scarselli collection is the biggest and most complete of the World
regarding Chianti Classico wines, including perfectly kipped bottles
from the 1800's up to our days.
Because
the friendship between Gianfranco, Roberto and Marco Mucciarelli:
the Tuscan wine and food Ambassador; the two collectors decided
to open some bottles to give other people the opportunity to taste
such unique Wines, they wanted also to create a real event every
time, and that's way Marco was involved to program and organize
this date.
All the people that in the last two years had the chance to participate
to this event were surprised about how informative it was the illustrated
historical speech and how unique the quality of the
old Chianti Classico wines they tasted.
The presentation and tasting takes place in one of the beautiful
medieval Squarcialupi Palace in the historical centre of Castellina
in Chianti, a small castle between Florence and Siena in the heart
of Tuscany, were the Enoteca Antiquaria is hosted in a ideal space.
Generally
the event is reserved to a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 16 people
at the time, but if
programmed in advance can be organized to sweet different requests
comprehending the tasting of more old wines, or even be part of
a long programs like a weekly wine experience in Tuscany.
